Stocking the Freezer

When I was pregnant with Markus, I kept reading that a good thing to do while waiting for your baby to arrive is to cook some meals to put in the freezer so you have food at the ready after your baby is born. “Yeah right,” I thought. “Who has time for that?” Well, after having one child already, I now recognize the priceless value of not having to cook for a while after giving birth: you’ve got a heck of a lot more time to cook before birth than after! Some ladies from church gave us food for a week after Markus was born, and I would have been wise to have another week’s worth of food in the freezer. This time I am heeding the advice. There are already four meals neatly stacked away in the freezer and hopefully I’ll get some more done before our new addition makes their first appearance.
